Liquid Face Lift
A liquid face lift is a non surgical procedure which involves the use of advanced dermal fillers (usually in conjunction with BOTOX) to gently lift and contour facial features.
In broad terms, a Liquid Face Lift can be undertaken to accomplish any of the following:
- Gentle lift of individual (or overall) facial features
- Reduced wrinkles, creases or folds
- Restoration of natural, curved facial contours
- A more rested, energetic look
- A friendlier smile
Results from liquid face lift procedures are usually gradual and can range from subtle to astonishing. It is common for patients who have had liquid face lift procedures to say that they receive compliments on their appearance without others knowing that they have done anything.
A liquid face lift procedure takes less than an hour and is performed in our facilities with local anesthesia. You may return to most of your normal activities almost immediately.
A liquid face lift procedure is tailored to each individual, so pricing depends upon a number of factors, including the extent of loss of collagen, skin laxity, skin damage, color and thickness, individual health and goals. Please call to schedule a confidential consultation.
Some of the products that Dr. Skellchock uses that are involved in liquid face lift are: BOTOX®, Restylane®, Juvéderm®, Radiesse® and Sculptra™.
BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles caused by muscle movement. It is injected into the areas around the eyes to reduce crow's feet, between the eyebrows to prevent that "worried" look, in the forehead and around the mouth to diminish lines, and in the neck to reduce lines and redefine the jawline. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. It is also used to treat migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Restylane®
Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows), nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth), around the mouth and chin, and around the eyes. With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.

Juvéderm™
Juvéderm™ is an injectable gel that gently reverses many signs of aging in the face, including fine lines and wrinkles, crow's feet, thinning lips and loosening skin. It can also "plump up" the lips, sculpt the cheeks, and restore a youthful oval shape to the face. It is made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to give volume and support to the skin. Because it is non-animal-based and highly biocompatible, no pre-treatment testing is needed. Results last about 6-9 months and can be made to last even longer with a simple follow-up treatment a few weeks after the initial injection.

Sculptra™
Sculptra™ is a new injectable product used to counteract the loss of fat beneath the skin (a condition called lipoatrophy). Sculptra is injected into the deep dermis layer of the skin to improve the appearance of sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, indentations and wrinkles. Its main component is an alpha hydroxy acid that has been used for 20 years in surgical products such as dissolvable sutures. There is no need for allergy testing. Clinical trials have shown that the benefits of Sculptra treatments can last up to two years.

ArteFill®
ArteFill® is a non-absorbable wrinkle filler used to correct smile lines. It is the only FDA-approved injectable smile line treatment of its kind. ArteFill uses a unique dual-acting formula made of a combination of 20% ArteFill Precision-Filtered Microspheres™ and 80% ArteFill Purified Bovine Collagen™. The result is the immediate visible correction of facial wrinkles and folds in as few as one or two treatment sessions with no downtime.
As we age, the natural collagen and elastin fibers supporting our skin break down, creating wrinkles. The ArteFill microspheres replace these aging fibers and provide permanent support and volume to the skin, making ArteFill outlast virtually any other wrinkle filler.

Collagen
Collagen is a naturally occurring protein found in the second layer of skin (the dermis) which "plumps up" the skin, joints, bones and ligaments. Injections counteract the effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement by filling out sunken areas and smoothing lines for a rejuvenated look. Results may begin to fade in a few months, depending on the patient's age, genetic background, skin quality, lifestyle and body site. Because of this, and because injections cannot improve severe wrinkles or deep folds, the procedure is often combined with other soft tissue augmentation fillers such as Juvéderm™, Restylane®, Radiesse® and Sculptra™.

Photorejuvenation
The natural consequences of aging on our skin include sun damage, freckles, age spots, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and redness caused by broken capillaries and rosacea. Photorejuvenation reduces these signs of aging using non-invasive, painless pulses of light. Treatments can also improve the appearance of birthmarks and uneven pigmentation and stimulate the production of collagen. There is very little recovery time and low risk of complications. Multiple sessions of about 20 minutes each are performed every few weeks until the desired result has been achieved.
